Any tips on removing the temp gauge. Does it pop out like the window switches ? I need to check the wire to the gauge.

No, it does not pop out. Depending where the gauge is in the center console, you might be able to remove the kick panel to be able to reach behind the console and remove the one thumb nut that holds the gauge in place. Otherwise, you will have to pull the center console out far enough to get to the thumb nut. If you are still using the ammeter, you won't be able to pull the center console out very far due to the heavy wires that are connected to the ammeter (that would be a good time to check the ammeter's wire connections). You may also have to disconnect the nylon connector (for the gauge wiring) that is located near the top of the kick panel by the gas pedal.
While you are in there, I would highly recommend that you add a new, separate ground wire to the temp gauge.

Thanks for your quick response. The temp gauge needle some times, doesn't move . I will change the temp sending unit, check its wire connection then follow it to the gauge. The center console is easy enough to lift up but not very far as you said.

mine was kinda like that too. It had to do with the connection at the temp sensor. A new connector fixed it no problem.
