Replacing a turn signal switch on an early Pushbutton Pantera

Anyone with an early Pushbutton Pantera have success replacing the original switch with one that came on later cars?
The switch on PB cars have nine wires terminate into two terminal blocks. The same type screw down blocks used for the ignition switch. The later swiths only have 8 wires and terminate into a plug.
