I have two different DeTomaso supplement catalogues for Gr- 3 and Gr-4 cars, but curiously, neither lists the race-popular two- piece fuel cells (one on each side of the engine). During the time when Panteras were being raced in international events, homolologation rules may have required a stock tank. The two such cells I've seen were from the '80s.

For short-duration events, some Panteras used an 11 gallon tank mounted in the front trunk. D. Quella's plastic Pantera has this type of fuel cell. Sinking a well down where we usually drop the battery, you should be able to get another gallon up front and avoid the cross-connection tube running between two rear tanks.

And finally, for those who just can't bring themselves to saw up a good 'gill', I have a silicone rubber mold of a right gill. I used it to fabricate a gill from fiberglas, then saw that up to make my right-side radiator access door, duplicating a stock left side fuel door. You could do that, too.
