Really appreciate the compliments guys and yes Im glad I kept her. SmilerAfter ripping all my hair out I decided on 2005 GT40 dark metallic blue. The colors a little hard to see without the sunlight. The sun really brings out the fine metallic and body lines of the car.Up to now I still have the original 17,000 mile engine and tranny on the side. Haven't decided to install a beast or the stocker.

Thanks everyone again,

Dan
Dave thanks, really appreciate it. Its been a long road to get it to this stage.Lots and lots of time and yes money. Always money! EekerI hope to have some additional pictures of the body next week. The guy who did the paint and body work did a really spectacular job. It was suppose to take him 2 months well 8 months later...Hopefully the new pictures will show off the body a little better.Pin glass straight.
It also has a really strange optical illusion to it. When you look into the paint you see yourself and everything around you.It has this dark deep depth to it.

Again appreciate it,

Dan

Gary, its one of those few details I haven't brought myself to do. That is cut it out with a dremel and make it removeable. Its something that I plan on doing in the near future. What I have left to do is undercoat the car, hook up the brake/clutch and coolant lines and string up the electrical harness in the engine compartment. That pretty much covers the rolling chassis.Decided a break was in order.. Sorry misunderstood your post.I thought you meant the bulge in the leather interior panel. The 2 firewall panels are removeable. I made up some templets and had a race shop make up the panels in satin aluminum. Between them I have DEI fireproof sound deadner.I also used it on the gas tank itself. The stainless steel gas tank shield goes over the stock shield. Making the gas tank blessed 3x from heat.
