Hugh will be greatly missed. I was fortunate to get to know him fairly well in the recent past when I
was asked to complete his Pantera so that he would be able to enjoy the car before something like this
ultimately happened. Like most of you ,I had several correspondences with him via email and thought he
was a really neat guy. When I first got the call from him asking if I would complete the car for him ,
we hit it off and spent probably two hours going over the details. He was SO excited about the car and
, in fact told me on numerous occasions that the project was keeping him going.
When the car was completed, several of his Pantera friends in New York agreed to drive him down (in their
Panteras) to my shop in Maryland to pick up the car and drive it back to NY.I thought that the fact that
they offered to do that was a true testament to what sort of a man Hugh was.

I remember how completely elated he was when he got back from his test drive. He coaxed his friend
Bob to join him telling him that he hadn't driven the Pantera in a long time and that he would " take it easy"
He then proceeded to pull out of the driveway and immediately drop the hammer all of the way to redline
in several gears!

RIP Hugh,

Ron McCall
