First and foremost, thanks for the compliments, Mark. Being addicted for over 30 years is not easy. Was on remission for a while, but the addiction was too strong and guess what? Here I am, back with a bigger mission! Soon I will post all the photos and all the work that was done to it. Too much to list and still much to come. Presently working on a prototype rear diffuser made of carbon fiber. You could see the pictures of the old engine in my new photo album forum section, Mark. I see pictures of your project. Tell me about your Pantera, Mark.

Best Regards

Your Pantera is really Bad Ass......... I like it.

Tell us more about the car and what you've done to it -- and yes, of course, more photos of it too. The car looks great!!!

Mark
Send me your email address and I will do it.
Thanks for the compliments!

I'm also running a Fontana motor and it make this even more interesting. I would appreciate if you can share engine spec, exhaust system etc and if there is any videos available, must listen to that engine...

Some ideas to your project;
Possibilities to use the space were the muffler sits. Reroute exhaust pipe through the diffuser or 180 degr out in the rear center. How do you prepare to evacuate hot air from the engine, louvers or nasa ducts?
I have also been thinking about the possibilities to fabricate and mount a flat bottom to the car (with a little angle) and a rear diffuser to create downforce. If you not are familiar to the book: Competition car Downforce, I highly recommend it. Also compare with:
Lotus F1 78/79
Lancia/Ferrari LC2
Porsche 962

Have fun and good luck!

Yes I know this is'nt for a street driven car but I think it's a lot of fun and interesting things in downforce...
SF,

Thanks for the diffuser ideas, but I like to retain my modified 3" ANSA exhaust system in place. Evacuating hot air from the engine is not an issue in my case. My car's bottom is completely flat, I fabricated an aluminum under tray (belly pan) with removable centre panels incorporating NACA ducts for cooling the engine and other components. I have been driving the car in hottest summer days and the coolant temperature has never exceeded 195 deg.F.
Therefore, there is no need for any additional mods such as louvers or NACA ducts required to the rear deck.

Have a good one,

Romano
