Route 66 from L.A to east coast

Hi,

Friend of mine is planning a trip from L.A. to the east coast via route 66 next spring. He would like to buy a car in L.A. and import it to europe (Finland) at the end of the trip. He needs a classic american convertible with at least four seats. I recommended him a ´67-´70 Mustang with a v8, as they are reliable cars with in his price range (10-15k euros), and iconic looks.

In order to make it a smooth trip, he would need find somebody to find (and probably buy) the car for him before hand, and make arrangments for the shipping on the east coast. Any ideas welcome..
