Thank you for inquiring! The Running of the Beasts is the first of what we plan to be an annual event to help homeless animals in our city and county shelters. This first event will go from Newport Beach's Crystal Cove to Santa Fe Springs with a surprise along the way for the Beasts.
((Memo: Our friends at TPOC had a typo ... it is not Santa Fe, NM but Santa Fe Springs, CA. Not only will you save gas, you will have more time to spend at the Car Show and After Party! ::laughs:
) We are still getting approvals for the logistics, but our tentative date is Saturday, July 15th at 9AM. Cost per Beast will be (tentatively) $60/vehicle. This includes Entry to the First Running of the Beasts, the SURPRISE, Car Show Entry, Entry for two to the After Party where there will be entertainment, silent auctions, and other surprises. Appetizers, lunch and drinks are on your own at the restaurant with a portion of the proceeds benefiting the programs of Dragon Foundation.
We are still in the planning stages, signing up vendors, sponsors, volunteers and more. This ride is partly inspired by the Harley Davidson annual Love Ride, but we will be bringing Panteras, Ferraris, Corvettes and more! Our first venture will have a limited number of vehicles - we are waiting to see what the permits allow. Official Sign-ups will begin June 1st at our site www.RunningOfTheBeasts.org, and I will keep your name on my list for any other updates. Currently, you can get more info at this site and updates will be coming soon.
This will be a really fabulous event, and rather historical as I hope we will look back 10 years from now and remember the FIRST EVER ... Running of the Beasts. I do hope you can come. If you have friends who just wish to attend the After Party and enjoy seeing the cars, they can come as our Official PARTY ANIMALS!
