Some time ago I shaved the rubber on the rollers because it had flattened and made it nearly impossible to move a seat. This worked fine with the driver's side seat because you put weight on it. But the slightly smaller rollers will roll randomly when breaking or accelerating because nothing keeps them in place.

If you've fixed or replaced them successfully, I'd love to know what you did.

I made a set from 1" Delrin rod from Amazon for $13.  It's actually enough to make several sets.

First photo shows rounding the edge on a belt sander.  Second photo shows using the chop saw with a C clamp stop to ensure correct length.  Fourth photo shows checking for correct fit.  You can easily cut them a little bit long and then belt sand them to fit.
