No "experience" to offer, but I was thinking of doing this myself. I have never liked the stock routing of the hoses behind the passenger seat. The tunnel exit area below the access hatch is already pretty crowded, however. That would be my concern - just having enough room for all the tubes & pipes, and not chafing the hoses against metal.

I read your other post about the cooling issues. Do you think the heater core itself is plugged, or just the tubes? Now might be a good time to fix that. Otherwise, bypassing is a fair option. Pretty rare in Florida you need a working heater.

I live nearby - let me know if you would like me to stop by your shop and have a look. Rodney
If you are open to using the new Aeroquip EZ-clip fittings and hoses, it is relatively easy to route the hoses through the passenger rocker with the electrical harness. The Aeroquip hoses are meaningfully narrower in diameter and much more flexible than traditional hoses. Running the lines in the rocker avoids all the potential interference at the front of the engine. Available at Aeroquip.cc
