Shifter Question

Hi gang,

I parked on a steep hill over the weekend and left #3382 in 1st gear with the e-brake on. When I came back and hour later, I couldn't get the shifter out of 1st gear. I hit it hard and it popped into N but when let off the clutch, it remained in 1st and then stalled. I played with the shifter for a minute moving it throughout the gears and it then worked fine. Do you think this was an isolated incident because it was parked on such a steep hill and somehow locked in 1st gear or do you think I have a sifter linkage problem?
