Shock Spacers

I am in the process of getting new shocks and measured the distance between the eyes on the shocks in the front and rear. The rear both measured the same. On the front the drivers side has the large spacer while the passenger side has it removed.

How much will the drivers side drop when the spacer is removed, the spacer is approximately one-half inch in thickness?

Also the distance between the shock eyes was different for the front. The side with the spacer measured 13.5 inches while the non- spacer side measured 14 inches. What will happen to the distance between the shock eyes with the spacer removed? Is this easy to adjust or correct the difference with adjustable shocks? I have seen a number of other owners comment to a similar problem.Is this somewhat common?
