It is off of my car, 4460. It fits with no issues. Anyone interested in it, I will be happy to measure the center to center for you.

Hall lists the as "one size fits all", but considering the nature of this car, I wouldn't be shocked if was 'off' on a car here or there.

Check the center to center on the car that you want to put it on, then check with me.

I would think it is most likely a '71 that would vary the most.

I do remember selling Bill Gano a roll bar for his push button and he had to modify the bar mounting.

This part is a pretty simple device.
When I bought mine from Hall in ~'01 they had two different bars. I think the difference is pre-L/L, but not sure. Mine is pre-L and fits 1549 just fine. The rear bulkhead of the early cars (pre-L I suppose) is different than the later ones, and thus the glass also. I found this out when I bought a stainless firewall cover from Wilkinson and found it to be about a 1/4" too tall (also holes for the heater/AC hoses etc. in the wrong place - the AC went through the right side rockers in the early cars).
Unfortunately getting the right technical information from the 'girls'at Hall isn't as simple as you think?

They don't have the same knowledge that Gary did. They don't list this part as early/late. I would hope they would know if there is a difference or not?

Shipping is going to be around $30 so they usually charge you for the shipping for their mistake.

For instance, when I asked them for the part number on my headers, they asked for a picture. Then they said, I don't know the part number but they look like ours?

These.

People like Mike Cook and Bob Byers worked for Gary at one time or another. They were always a source of technical information besides Gary.

They simply don't help Bev out anymore.

I bought this bar from Gary. He just sent the one he thought would fit. Never had a problem with anything from them, with one exception.

The "high port" Hall 180 headers.

They used the wrong pattern on the header flanges. There were two bolt patterns and SVO only acknowledged the second type.

Hall didn't make it up, SVO just didn't know there were two patterns. Not Halls fault.

I had/have the early first type A3 pattern. The only solution was to modify the location of one bolt hole on the flange. They PAID ME to fix them.

That meant predrilling one hole on each port.

Interestingly enough, the above listed headers (under chassis) have the same issue. You will see two bolt holes on one side of the port. That is the early/late A3 pattern.
That pattern will fit the other heads in the series as well, i.e., the B351, the C302 and the D.

To determine if they will fit other aftermarket aluminum heads, you take the Felpro gasket and overlay them on the flange.

I don't know for a fact that they will simply because I don't have any other heads to try them on.

EXACTLY 48" center to center. Wink

It weighs about 4 pounds. Shipping weight should be about 7.

Box would be 4" x 49 x 1", or there about.

The original thread on the nut cert is 11mm. You are not going to find those bolts in the length that you want them in.

I changed mine over to a 7/16-20 sae bolt. You will need a 13/32" drill bit and a 7/16 tap for that. A bolt 2-1/4" long.

You also want to put a "double thick" flat washer between the bar and the engine cover so that the belts will slide side to side more freely.

Home Depot has them in stock in a Grade 3. That's all you need.

You will bend the bar before you break the bolts.

Grade 8 would be nice but they are very difficult to find in a fine thread and the right length/thread length that you want.

I'm replacing the bar because I put a roll bar back in the car and it has a shoulder height horizontal bar on it that substitutes for this flat bar.
