Where, exactly, is the best place to put a couple of inline valves to shut off the heater core for summer?

I installed mine (inline on the heater hoses) aproximately 18-24 Inches from where they exit the Top of the Block/Water Pump. Just below the rear window glass. I can reach in the rear deck opening and turn them on and off. I DO NOT have the engine covers Installed. Just make sure that when the Handles are in the CLOSED position (perpendicular), The handles are pointing AWAY from the firewall. This will make it easier for you to turn them. Marlin.
