side marker bezels

I have a 72 Pantera. I am going to have the side marker bezels rechromed. does anyone know if the bezels are completely chromed or chromed on the outside with black insert from the factory? any recommendations on who does good rechroming on plastic? thank you for any input.

I don't know who does rechroming but they are completely chromed.

Before you invest in rechroming, take a straightedge to your bezels. They all tend to sag inwards on the two long edges.

I keep waiting for someone to make these in billet so as to avoid that sagging issue.

The early cars, not sure until what chassis #, had bezels made out of cast pot metal. They are very solid and heavy and won't sag. Find one of those sets - they do come up from time to tim.e

I've got a set.

And yes, they are quite heavy.

They also are rather roughly finished castings, and though "proper" for an early car, they look like a school shop class (remember those?) aluminum casting project that went wrong.
