My signal flashers wont stay engaged. If I select Left or right turn the stalk just pops back to center straight away. Im guessing i need a switch?

Yes, your switch is bad, Bill Taylor in Torrance California used to fix them for a very reasonable fee. I am not sure if he still does. I will PM you the contact info I had for him.
John Taphorn took over from Bill rebuilding the turn signal stalks.
not sure if Wilkinson has reproduced these pieces.
I have purchased a new reproduction piece from capri vendor Team Blitz, but I’m not sure if they are always in stock.

Ended up pulling my signal switch. Looked like it had been pulled apart previously...hmmm wonder if this has been repaired previously? Stripped it down an found the little spring that pulls the lever arms together had popped off. fitted it back and now the switch is working again. Thanks to those that messaged me with contacts which ultimately led me to a fix, hope the spring stays on.
