Hi Steve

No, I'm not. Wink Of course I am! Actually, I currently own a TVR, so I know all about commitment when it comes to cars!

I have already been in touch with Roger & Phil from the DTDC, have noticed a few for sale in the UK, so am making some progress cheers!

It looks like one would have to build a new RH footbox to hold the controls.

Both. The factory did make RHD cars, and some people have converted theirs. And, on top of that, the FACTORY has converted some! Or at least one... you can see photos of the factory converting a Pantera Si to RHD on my "website".

Doug Doug!
Of course the factory built right hand drive cars!
That's like asking how many left hand spanners did sidcrome make?

I've just bought a Pnatera about a month ago. Like you I spoke to Roger and looked at the cars you have most probably been made aware of.
All cars were put on this earth for different reasons. I have always been a car nut and for me the Pantera ticked all the boxes.
If I can be of any assistance then drop me a line.I live in N.London. memmoustafa@yahoo.co.uk.
Hi Guys, I wouldn't mind joining this discussion as well. I also am looking to purchase a RHD Pantera (Pre L - GTS)and export it from the UK to Oz (Melbourne). I am currently bidding on

http://cgi.ebay.co.uk/De-Tomaso-Pantera-GTS-not-Ferrari...QQrdZ1QQcmdZViewItem

It looks like his sale fell through. Assuming I will be unlikely to win this auction - any other cars in the Uk for sale, i'd appreciate it. I am visiting London 15/16/17 May and would love to look at car if I could.

I'd even consider a conversion (buy a LHD and convert here) if it did not involve drug money, a leap year to complete and require me to take sedatives to live through the experience....

Any one got any ideas what the process would cost - Sterling/USD in parts and about how many hours labour??

Love the site - hope to be a regular

Regards,

Paul

Anyone know what happened to that yellow Pantera on ebay . It looked like a genuinely nice car and well priced at that. Possibly somebody bought it on the spot before the auction ended.('buy it now')
Thanks for the piston head site, i will check them out. FYI - the yellow car got taken off by EBAY - I got a notice saying that the item/seller broke ebay rules and the item was removed - my bids nul invoid???

Looks like someone may have been falsely representing the vehicle (not sure how), someone checked, complained and now I am back to square 1.1.

PBC
A seller doesn't necessaraly have to be a scammer to get taken down by ebay.
When I was selling my engine, ebay pulled it because they didn't like the way I stated my payment terms.
They said that I was attempting to circumvent paying ebay fees.
Of course when I relisted the auction, no one would bid on it because they then thought I was a scammer.
Ebay is a tough place to do business. Don't presume that the seller was necessarily a scam artist.
