We had a great event, capping off 2016 with a tour of the Tucson Auto Museum (Wayne's Toys). The Tucson Auto Museum is a private collection, recently opened to the public.

There are over 50 cars there, with 4 in active restoration.

Tucson Auto Museum - a.k.a. "Wayne's Toys"

While only some are of the "exotic supercar" breed like our club's cars, there is a lot of automotive history on display.

One of our members was a automotive designer from Chrysler, and provided our group lots of "behind the scenes" knowledge on the design and construction principles of many of the vehicles.

He was stunned by the 1957 Desoto Fireflite, that was the car that helped him make his career path decision.

We all had a great tour, meeting Wayne himself, and a very enjoyable review. We had a nice lunch at "Brooklyn Burgers and Brew", where we ate, and over a delicious sandwich and beverage, discussed future events, and potentially, the future course of our fine organization.

It was a nice turnout, capping off a great year. Members participating, and the cars they have exhibited:

  • Chuck - '73 Pantera / '72 Jensen Interceptor
  • Dave - '82 Fiat 2000 (Fiat 124)
  • Stephen - '74 Alfa Romeo Spider Veloce Iniezione 2000
  • Dave - '72 Ferrari 365GTB/4 (4 Cam) / '82 Ferrari Daytona
  • Wade - '32 Model A Hotrod / '72 Pantera

    Wade was taking the picture!
