Pantera owners

Due to popular demand at the Reno Fun Rally, Space City Panteras will again offer for sale the reasonably priced LED Kit that replaces almost all exterior lights on your Pantera. The Headlights and license plate bulbs are the only LEDs excluded. The system is plug and play for most cars.

The exercise has taught us a lot as we have sold over 55 sets. We continue to learn from the experience and the kits continue to evolve*. We also have a new rear brake taillight design that does not require distortion of the US spec taillight housing. We have continued to improve the design and quality of LEDs as the technology has improved. Several individuals expressed an interest in a set at Reno this year; so, we will give it another shot.

For a stock bodied Pantera the kit costs $200, the GT5 runs $235. Delivery is $5 to the Continental US and actual cost outside the continental US.

As a Pantera owner and one who understands how we think, let me say, "No, you couldn't buy these LED bulbs, electronic flasher, diodes, pigtail wiring and shipping from multiple suppliers cheaper yourself."

If you would like a set, please send me the following:

1) Your shipping address
2) US Spec or GT5 tailight housing
3) Color of rear blinker lens
4) Color of front blinker lens
5) a check for the appropriate amount made payable to John Taphorn. Send checks to John Taphorn 3219 Rambling Creek Drive, Kingwood, TX 77345.
6) We accept PayPal, yet we require you to add the $6.50 fee they charge, thus, 211.50 for standard and 246.50 for GT5.

* We have a customer with an early car and different blinker relay wiring than later cars. The relay has a KBL flasher relay terminal with an orange wiring leading to it. At present, we have not figured out how to get this set up to work with our replacement flasher. If you have this set up, you will have a challenge getting it to work. We are still early in the diagnosis.

I sent the following to John in hopes it will solve his flasher dilemma.

I'm posting it here to assist other owners with early cars such as my 2511 that use the four wire flasher unit. It is out of production and if you can find it, it is way overpriced for a flasher.

This diagram purports to show how to use a newer three-wire unit in place of the four. Luckily, I have not yet needed to try it out.
