I am considering a 400 mile trip across NC. I feel configent with my mechanicals, my only concern would be a spare tire. Since the front and rear are different hights, and the rear is limited slip, I would take along a big spare. Am I right in assuming that two different hight rear tires would cquse extreme wear on the differential?

that is a good question, I have never considered this problem since they came with a collapsable spare that I always assumed would fit either the front or rear of the car. I always carry a spare front tire figuring I could use it in any corner of the car for a relatively short distance.
Spare tire!?
We don't need no stinkin' spare tire!!

Seriously, I have well over 13K miles in 2511 and have never carried, or needed, a spare. I would say most owners do not carry one either. What I do carry is my cell phone, my AAA card, and the biggest can of flat fix/inflater I could find at Kragen. Short of a bungee cord holding things together, just where would you put the flat tire, anyway? ;-)
