My new speedo cable went after only a couple hundred miles. It busted up at the ZF end. Anyone else have this happen to them?

First I thought it may be the angle drive, but if that were a problem one would assume it wouldn't turn or at least turn slowly so shouldn't bust up the cable.
That only leaves two scenarios;
1. The cable routing has a tight radius and is binding somewhere.
2. Your speedo has an internal problem.
I expect even though the problem or binding may be at the far end, the ZF drive would twist the cable up and it would have a tendency to break at the drive end.

Not sure if this was thrown into the mix a few months ago when you purchased the cable.
The ZF end of the cable is specific for VDO or Borletti. Don't know if the wrong fitting would pinch the cable or just make the speedo wacky.
Wilkinson has the cables for about $52.00 and I found others as high as 135.00

I have had very good luck with a cable purchased from Pantera East. It has lasted longer than any other I have had and does not jump.
