went to car show in Malba today and saw a reddish metallic Qvale mangusta 151 of 285. Walked my dog around the corner and BAM!!! parked right in front of a neighbors house there it was!!. It is for sale 40k 12 thousand miles. Honestly, it is a really nice car has a saddle interior, 5 speed and the paint is flawless if anyone is interested let me know I have the owner's info and invited him to join the club. Relly exciting for me, at the car show I was the only one who knew what it was and the owner was surprised and impressed that he didn't have to explain a thing.

No disrespect to those who own/or like them. But it is not a Mangusta. The name should never have been put on this car. It may have respectable performance but it looks like “Lipstick on a pig “. My guess is that is why there are new ones still available.

$40K will buy you a nice Pantera. Not as practical as a daily driver, but it will not continue to depreciate as the Qvale.
The 'new' Mangusta was an incredibly brave concept and efffort at the time. But someone in the styling department let Mr. Qvale and 'would be' fans down.

The face is like that of a very angry clown, posssibly hooked on prescription medication.

I've often considered what, if anything, one could do to erase or modify this atrocity, but if you factor in what it'd cost to do so, you're in the price range of another, more appealing car.

All this is of course my opinion, subject to all manner of disagreement, but indeeed there's a reason that several new Mangustas - still on MSO - are available.

The Atlanta highline dealer auction sold one with mileage in the 20's for $25,500 two Thursdays ago.
