Stationary Head Lights

Lighting is a safety issue, not just a style issue.

Anyone can do such a conversion. What matters is what the end result is as far as night time lighting.

I noted the website of that outfit has lots of photos concerning the style of their lighting, not a single word or photo about the results.

My understanding is those that have done, or purchased a car with, such a conversion are less than happy with results.

Thanks for the tip Dennis. I've been looking for a decent fixed light set-up, but with the exception of a few home made fabrications I've seen on-line, haven't found any. I'll drop Bob a line.

Another option for fixed lights being pursued by a fellow PCNC member is to use Ferrari 550 headlight assemblies. I think Pat Hollaran's wild targa Pantera also uses the Ferrari headlights.

Because the angle of the fender on the pantera is so shallow, I prefer the popup headlights. However, I do remove the frog eyes and use a small rectangular bulb to reduce the lift.

I set mine up and set the car level fabricated and used sasquhana Hella assemblies ..although they are not 100% complete they align properly and seem to be plenty of light... I have to say I spent a LOT of time on the set up fit and alignment prior to welding them in.
