There are spaces, depending on the exact dementions of the box: 1. up under the dash behind/beside the "glove" compartment. 2. under the passenger seat. 3. On the Firewall behind passenger seat (since the engine "bubble" prevents the pass. seat from going all the way back). 4.If you "dropped" the battery; the original battery location. 5. 'In' the glove compartment. 6. under the dash on the drivers side. 7. under/inside the central console 8. Maybe!! under the Heater/AC box under central dash. 9. On top of the center console, rear, like an arm rest. 10. forward or left side, in the passenger footwell. Anybody else have ideas??

I put my Rockford Fosgate Punch series amp under the heater box. Just remove the center kick panels and you're there. Make sure you have no water leaks in there. You may want to consider wiring a small fan to cut down on its heat buildup if so. Fits perfectly with the amp's side trim pieces removed.
I didn't look past the front luggage compartment, but I found it to be a good place to mount the amp and a 6 disc cd changer. I added an auxillary fuse block to the firewall behind the battery for powering the amp, disc changer and driving lights. It turned out to be a pretty neat installation. I mounted the amp by shooting sheetmetal screws through mounting brackets and placed a 1 inch spacer between the bottom of the amp and the trunk floor so that heat would not be a problem. I mounted the CD player vertically, against the inside wheel well in front of the battery.
You can drill holes to the outside of the car(wheelwell)but then they are subjected to water spray (same if you went through the floor of the trunk). I would have gone through the bulkhead to the inside of the car, then the holes would not have opened to the outside, so to speak. Regards, Marlin.

mount the amp on the pass side firewall cover, behind seat. that is where mine is.

Except, evertime you need to remove the firewall cover you gotta deal with those damn wires!

I'd say keep it simple and keep it in the front luggage compartment or the passenger side foot well.
