How deep did you have the bolt before realizing it had stripped? You may be able to use a thread chaser and straighten out the threads deeper in the head and get a good seat; otherwise, your only alternative would probably be a heliocoil.
Be worth a try to clean out the head as deep as you can. Many times rust prevents going deeper in the head.
Sashi, its pretty easy to remove the surge tank and its bracket to give you a little more room to work. Compounding the error in repairing will likely require removing the head to fix it. This sometimes happens in trying to remove & replace a spark plug, too.

The bracket it tack-welded to the inner fender panel. By cutting the tack weld, the whole ass'y can be moved out of the way. Reattach using a pair of large self-tapping screws through the two parts in a convenient (or the same) location. Good luck.
