Costs for this type of labor-intensive work always varys across the country, being generally higher in big cities and lower in rural or less-populated areas. As a general rule, the wider the tire, the less toe-in one needs for stability. This applies to the use of urethane suspension bushings, too.
I was actually quoted $800-1000 by a small speedshop in Arizona. They had no alignment equipment to speak of. They claimed they would put bags of concrete in the seats to simulate weight of passengers, then lean on the fenders to simulate cornering. They were using a metal long bar for tow-in, and lines on the floor for front to rear alignment... all of this was supposed to be the "only true way" to get a race bred alignment. Not sure if they were even looking at caster. I ran fast. (this place is well known in Phoenix)
