SVO heads/studs or bolts

Can you remove SVO aluminum heads using studs with engine in car or are use bolts? thanks for any info

Hi Mark…long time.

I like studs for every thing (no joke). Mark is right you cannot lift the head over the studs. BUT there is no reason you cannot just dbl nut the stud and just take them out like a bolt. They should not be very tight in the block.
