After installing electronic ignition, tachomter does not work even after trying MSD 8920 and Mallory 29078 tach adapters. Anyone who can rebuild Goose Tach with modern guts?

Which MSD distributor are you using? If it's the ready to run unit (doesn't require a 6A box) then I believe the required tach adapter is the MSD 8910.
Joules is correct as I went through this with my Pantera. I am running a ready to run with a 6A box using the 8910. Was the tach working prior to the distributor change?

Mutt, If you end up needing an 8910 I've got a brand new one on my shelf I'd make you a deal on. Ended up needing an 8920 on my car after all was said & done
I have an accel 300+ elec ignition, accel coil, and accel 52000 series magnetic breakerless distributor. Theoretically, the 8920 or 29078 were the correct adapters if you are using the magnetic pickup connector (green and violet wires) to trigger the 300+.
Unfortunately, have been thru this one as well. If use use magnetic distributor, doesn't work. Oh well, have a small digital tach I have been using that runs just fine with no adaptor. Will just keep using it.
