One of the negatives of owning a Pantera is that they are cheap enough that people do not understand how special they are and do some pretty far out stuff to them. The good part is that every time someone trashes their Pantera with some dumb thing it makes each one of the survivors a little bit more valuable.

Mike, I feel cars like this bring down Pantera values because of public perception as a custom “kit” car. Not a wonderful blending of Italian style and Ford power.

I hear you! As a group we are probably too accepting of those that do non-de Tomaso stuff to their cars. I know that I tend to bite my tongue rather than telling someone they are a stupid fool and they should be thrashed for what they did to their Pantera. Just like your car and my car have GT5 hood vents. Hard to undo that type of stuff although it was a de Tomaso factory option that the factory would put on any car you took to the factory.

Yeah he is butchering that '63 Vette as well. Note the big block installed which requires notching the front cross member on 63-64's, and I believe I see an after market aluminum front suspension as well. Nothing is sacrid!
Looks like a fiberglassed conrete block to me....maybe the weight helps prevent front end lift Big Grin

On a more serious note Larry Stock makes this style of air dam for a narrow body car. The fit looks bad as it's resting on the block at an angle and not afixed to the car.

Hi guys,
I was looking at this thread and found something kind of "Odd" If you look at the pictures posted on the E-Bay add, don't you think it kind of odd that the shot of the front of the motor shows Yellow paint? Well guess what? That is a picture that I posted here of my car when I did my Intake and Carb upgrade. See this thread and compare.

Scroll down, look and compare. That's my wife's green Oakland A's Flag that's in the picture to the left that you see out the passenger side window.
When my step son gets home I'll have him post the seller asking wherte he got that photo from. (He has an E-bay account)

So pass it on for buyers to beware of this one.

George

Bottom line, I believe this sell is a scam!

Buyers Beware!

George
