That part may be exactly what I need, how many pulses per revolution does it generate?
Do you have any additional details of it electrically?

I'm thinking this could serve as a speed input if you were adding an aftermarket cruise control, instead of mounting the standard magnet/sensor pickup that an old car like our Panteras needs to use.

Anyone care to offer a thumbs up or down on this device providing a useable signal for aftermarket cruise kits?

I have a sender on order and expect it to arrive this week ... it was not easy to find in the U.S.
I was able to cross it with a Ford Fiesta and Aspire ... I don't think a lot of those were sold in the U.S.
I will post Ford part numbers after I receive the sender and try it on the ZF. I want to make sure that the numbers are correct before posting them world-wide.
The part number that Roland posted did not help me ... I used the number from the picture he posted which was helpful.
I would not be able to comment on compatibility with after-market cruise controls because I am not familiar with them and I am not using it for that purpose.

Just curious whether or not you have recieved that sender. I am quickly closing on the time I need one and thought i'd check.

We followed this up with Jon. What he received did not work. If this is the way to go, Roland seems to be the source. I've found a couple of Fiestas in the wrecking yards, two missing something where the adapter would be. But do not know if the US version would work on our ZF.

Go to this link, scroll down quite a bit and you'll see what he used for his EFI converson - a VDO piece much like the Ford unit.
