Hi Jack,
I pulled the ZF out of 4044 yesterday to safety wire the ring gear. I was hoping to put it right back together to go to Pocono but the throwout came out in pieces.Where can I get a crowned bearing and what is included in the centerforce kit DF021048-S. Also who is the best source for a long throw slave cyl?
Thanks much, Guy

Tilton Eng in Buellton CA has them for sale (they were the ones who recommend a crowned-face bearing for this type of diaphragm clutch cover). Possibly some Pantera vendors also but I don't know. 100% of the Pantera vendors carry long-throw slave cylinders in both iron and stainless, and both types are drop-in conversions on a stock bracket. To my knowlege, Centerforce doesn't recommend (or include) any particular throwout. As stated earlier, the Centerforce clutches are set up for 3/8" bolts while your flywheel is tapped for 5/16, so there is still a bit of adaption to do for their 11" clutch cover. Fortunately, a 5/16" hole (threaded or not) is the tap size for a 3/8" thread. If you're using a stock or aluminum flywheel, use thread lube & be slow 'n gentle in tapping holes so's not to strip a thread. Centerforce has a flywheel available (p/n 700250-48)
