The timing pointer shown is not a stock one, and in any case, they all bolt on with enough variation to be fairly in-accurate anyway. Wrecking yards mostly give them away. But if your timing MARK on the harmonic balencer is at any other point, likely the outer ring of the balencer has sheared the rubber bond, rotated backwards and is now not only useless for setting ignition timing, it is in great danger of moving off the end, falling to the ground and bouncing into another car in traffic! This happened to a friend, who found out the hard way (in CA Court) that YOU are responsible for damages incurred from parts falling off of or out of your vehicle. His balencer ring bounced onto the hood of a Porsche right behind him....$1200 later, he was poorer but wiser.

There were about eight different 351C engine types to determine the pointer type and about four different stock pointers used on the 351C, this is one of them.
