I about to replace the rear axle bearing and I was wondering if anyone had the Timken inner and outer bearings and seals part numbers.

I saw there was an article regarding installing oversized double diameter inner bearing and machining the axle spacer down. Does anyone have a Timken part number for the oversized inner bearing?

Thanks

The nomenclature used is;

5200 = Double row medium duty metric and the 5208 denotes a 40mm bore (multiply the last 2 digits by 5). The 2RS denotes seals both sides.

For Timken this is a 5208W bearing, however in doing a bit of research Timkens catalog states that their double row bearings are NOT pre-lubricated and as such they seem to offer only a single sided shield.

I'm looking for a Timken brand inner double roller part number and a Timken part number for the outer bearing that doesn't require machining the axle hub to make it fit. I know from experience that Timken have the best manufacture quality and reliability. It doesn't make sense to be to put in parts of unknown origin in a car that I've spent lots of money and time on, especially such a crucial and relatively inexpensive part.
