Read somewhere new tires need some breaking in before they perform as expected. Well, who am I to compromise safety?

I'll have to remember this principle when I get mine on the road...
I just took it for a first drive a couple of days ago and being the first time ever in a car this powerful I was very careful not to be the fool who puts his car into a power pole on it's first drive out.
Car looks great!! I might be asking about some of the kit on it as part of my re-build.
