Tire Mounting Tool...did you see it????

Folks,

My friend Tony.D asks this question:
"I recently saw a tool on one of the TV garage shows. It mounts to your hub and has 4 arms that hold any tire of your choice so you can determine the desired offset directly in your wheel well. I can not locate which show I saw it on, nor find the tool on internet searches. Can anybody fill in the gaps?"

Myself, I could use this tool as I am about to order wheels from Fikse and this tool would let me get the Backspacing correct the first time around.

Anyone see this tool????

I looked on the internet and in some of the specialty catalogs and could not find the specific tool you are looking for. I typed in " determine wheel offset" on the msn search page and there were over 15,000 hits. I looked at some of the first 2 pages and there are some good detailed explanations on how to determine offset or backspacing without spending a bunch of money on a one time use tool using things like a straight edge and ruler. Try looking at them and see if they will answer your question.
