Tire Pressure Sticker

Here's an old pic from my '71.

A note of interest (at least to me) is that the sticker in the pic was placed over another sticker. The "under" sticker showed the same front tire size, with an inflation pressure of 34 psi (cold). The only rear tire size shown is FR70 - VR15, with an inflation pressure of 36 psi.

Also, the lower portion of the "under" sticker had the towing warning cut off.

Garth, no more towing your brother's trailer with the Pantera!!

PS: Do you have a link to more pictures of your car ? The colr is so rare and as I am sure you know many were repainted another color.

I just sent an email to the guy that made the Pantera paint decals to see if he would make the tire decals for us. I will let you know what he says.

The quality of the paint stickers was excellent. As you know there are 2 different styles Pr-L and L models. But he would only have to produce the 2 styles vs. the many different paint codes.

I would venture to say that he would get an even bigger response for the tire pressure labels as many have been removed during a re-paint.

Hall Pantera offers (or once offered) this sticker as GP 3 #21 for $15. Browse to www.hallpantera.com, or phone them. They have or had all the other stickers and body plates,too.

The body plate (for the driver's side door area) repro sold by Hall's is sort of close, but too big- anyone know who might sell an accurate one?

I went through the body I.D. plate search a few years ago. All of the reproductions I found were not the original white plastic.
Steve Wilkinson told me that he was going to talk to Santiago about having them produced again. My assumption is that this did not happen or we would have heard of new availability by now.

Got a reply from the guy that made our paint decals. He said no problem on the tire decals. He will be out of town until next weekend. I will post here when I have more info.

Could someone measure a late model tire decal?

My early decal measures 110.0 mm wide x 75.5 mm high.

Thank you for taking the lead on this. Will he need good originals to duplicate from ? Or just pictures to size and type set by ?

I will be sending mine to him. I will see what he says about the later decal. It would be nice to have a later one available to send if needed. I'm still waiting for someone to post measurements of the later decal to see if both are the same size.

Thanks for donating your original for this project. Maybe PM "ENZOWHO" his car and pic is an "L"

The sticker on my 74 L measures
11cm X 7.5cm
or
4 3/8 in. X 3 in.

That would make it the same size as the early car sticker.

Mine looks like it was steamed off for a re-paint and then re applied. I'm not sure it would survive being removed again.

Hi Guys, just noticed this thread. Do you mean Jim Duncan on these stickers? Just bought some ANSA decals and "press" decals for seat belts on another car. He's an excellent vendor.

I put the silver foil decal on my late L model, was dead on. Jeff, mine was from ebay, of good quality, but over a year ago. I'll try to look up the vendor if you're still in need.

Well thanks for that Jim. I mean John.

I got the paint sticker from him.

I also got a tire pressure decal in silver foil but NOT from him.

I had contacted John about some Porsche decals and he said 'no prob' but I ended up finding them already done elsewhere.
