Jack in responding to a question on tires/wheels you stated that you use 8/8 for the front and back. What size tires do you put on the front as well as back so that the car can still function and perform as intended? Thank you
I've been running 245-50x 15 Goodyears in front, on 8" Campis wit no spring spacers. In back, I run 275-55x 15 Pirelli P7Rs. Neither, I suspect are now easily available. The Goodyears are 9" wide at the tread and are about the widest that will fit without chopping up the front fenders. They do their part in correcting the massive understeer Ford built into the L models. The rears could easily be 3" wider but such tires are no longer available except as NOS from some dusty shelf somewhere.
