I am in the process of installing my front lower a-arms with polyurethane bushings and was wondering what kind of torque values do you use with these type bushings. I have read where a torque value of 58 ft. lbs is used for the control arms with OEM type rubber bushings, but that seems like an awful lot for the poly bushings. Can anyone tell me how tight these bolts should be?

does the bushings have a sleeve around the bolt. that sleeve should be so the tabs will be limited from mashing the poly
Yes, the bolt has a sleeve around the bolt. The sleeve seems to be approximately the same length as the total length thru the bushings. I was concerned about getting the torque too tight and wind up compressing the bushings and putting them in a bind, particularly when the mounting tabs seem to be right up against the bushing and the sleeve.
You need to clamp that center sleeve, aftermarket suppliers like Energy Suspension recommend using the stock torque settings.
Is a poly bushing intended to rotate upon it's stationary inner sleeve, or does the control arm rotate on the outer radius of a stationary bushing, or both?
I think I have seen poly bushings machined to receive an internal hex sleeve which means rotation on the larger radius is preferred?
