touching video tribute to our soldiers

I am not a political person.

I don't intend to start a debate whether or not the US belongs in Iraq.

Many military families have loved ones in Iraq, putting themselves in harms way, because their government sent them there. Some families have made the ultimate sacrifice, as their loved ones have lost their lives in the service of their country.

I'm sure people on either side of the Iraqi war debate can have sympathy and respect for these military families and the ordeal they face daily.

I ran across this tribute video, and it's images touched me, so I thought I would post a link, and share it with those that are interested.

Bravo George! Great retrospect! These folks allow all of us to live our lives free just like our fathers and their fathers before them.

Actually it is a car site. But we here in America always support our troops no matter what the situation is and whether we agree with the politics of that decesion. With the Pantera being of Italian - body /American - engine(ie FORD) heritage it's ok for folks like George to get patriot for our troops in action! Semper fi! Big Grin

Plenty of non automotive topic is posted here in the Pub on a continuous basis. The Iraqi war is a heatedly debated subject here in the US, yet regardless of which side of the debate we are on, the hearts of all Americans goes out to the soldiers who serve our country and their families.

I did state up front I am not a political person. I am not making a political statement. I am touched by the human factor of this video.

Franz, for my part, I have taken no offense at your comment. With all due respect, your comments are as welcome as anyone's. I remain your friend on the DTBB

It's simply a tribute to our soldiers. Nothing more, nothing less. I'm sorry you still carry emotional baggage from a war which happened over 60 years ago.
