Flipped my rear trunk over yesterday, and notices a couple of wear holes and a good deal of scuffing of the creases. What is the recommended repair for this? Will a good, basic fiberglass repair kit do the job? Thanks Mike - #6328
Yep.. good old fiberglass works great, I had a wear spot on the painted engine bay, 15 mins with a sander, a little fiberglass and everything is ok now...
In fact, if you want some good stuff goto a marine distributor. The "newer" style fiberglass patterns are much stronger as compared to what they had back in the 70's. (I plan to do the same on mine, from the in/out activity and flexing it eventually will crack).
As with painting......... prep..... prep...... prep
