After sitting through 5 or 6 giant snowstorms I got my lucky break. It suddenly got warm and rained all night. When I awoke, the streets were clean and dry. I finally managed to get the cat out and drive her over to my storage garage where she now sits. Clean, covered and warm.

The ride was fantastic. Freezing cold. Below zero. And if you got off the dry center of the road everything was frozen. I took a little air out of the tires and it ran just fine. A rocket in any weather. It was great to get in one last ride.

I am now able to turn my pristine white Detomaso garage over to the two sloppy, filthy SUVs of my wife and daughter and watch my glistening black floor get destroyed with mud and salt.

Oh well, at least I am comforted by the fact that my Mustang and Pantera are finally safe and sound for warm winter hibernation.

You west coast and southern dudes have no idea how lucky you are!

I too have finally put the car away after a far-too-short first season with it - she's waxed and jacked up, has fresh oil, a full (& stabilized) tank, wheels and battery are removed, and she's cocooned for the season.
Today was looking like a day I would have enjoyed a run, but thankfully the car wasn't able (see above) - There's snow in the forecast for tonight so trucks were out spraying a salt solution on the bridges and overpasses during the day ... that's the last thing I want getting all over the cat!
