The day started out at the Tucson Classics show. The group met at a local parking lot, but due to the traffic on the way in, our cars got split up. We would have preferred to park as a group, but we were all very close.

Here's pictures of our cars:

After the show, we went to the Vintage Exotics facility. As discussed, they are branching out into rockets, and had three on display. We had a SUPER tour by Barry, who is the chief cook and bottle washer, and newly promoted Rocket Fabricator in the shop.

This picture shows their 40' Fit Check Bird, and the 20' Flight unit. They had a 10' unit that they had flown already in the shop, a little banged up.

Up on the stand behind them is the '68 Mustang Boss 302 Track Car, set up for vintage racing. Apparently the only thing not legal now on the car are the shocks, which is quickly rectified when the car is entered in an event.

Barry fired it up for us, and it was LOUD!

Anyway - we had a blast, we sat in Lola Track Cars, and Maserati Ghiblis. They had a NASCAR racer, and a Cogsworth Vega. Plus lots more to see. A super eduction for all of us.

We really want to wish Barry and Jim Cantrel the best on their new venture, and thank them for the hospitality. It was a great trip!

Afterwards, we retired to the Barrio Brewery for dinner, and then home-again, home-again, jiggety-jig. It was a super event.

Here's a slideshow of the entire thing.

I know there's a lot in the slideshow, and I am sorry for the low quality of some of the pictures. Post up if you have questions!
