I fixed the cooling problem. Thanks for all the help/advice. My '74 has a Holley carb, Edelbrock intake, mild cam (don't know what type), headers, and electronic ignition (don't know what type). The car seems to miss a bit when I accelerate hard and its also hard to start sometimes when warm (starter turns fine but doesn't fire - stumbles a bit). I think it needs a tune-up. Do you guys agree? What would be the timing setting for this type of set-up? Any recommendations on plug type, wires, and cap & rotor. Figured Id just replace whats there unless you folks have other recommendations. Thanks for all the help. This board is great!!

Your stock starter is now 32 years old, and the Pantera absolutely requires a second ground cable between a bare spot on the frame and a bolt on the transaxle. I personally recommend some type of modern gear-drive starter and wire-brush cleaning of bolt surfaces under both ends of the second ground cable for good starting. You may have other problems; this is basic to ANY 351-C in a Pantera IMHO.
