looking to either change or turn my rear driver side rotor. Looks more complicated than just a standard car. Do I need to uncouple the half shafts to remove? Just looking for some counsel for a first time challenge. DC

You do'nt only have to remove the rear U-joint but also take the wheel shaft out of the hub. To do this, you must unscrew the slotted nut with a special socket (be careful, normally on the left it is a reverse pitch) and remove the shaft which is force-fitted into the bearings. It's not really an easy job and I wouldn't recommend it for a beginner.
René4406 is correct…
also you may want to add a grease Nippel on the bottom shaft (my left shaft was rusted very badly ) and the mod to use bolts as Studs helps tremendously with reinstalling the swaybar! … new wheel bearing my be in order too..
minimum thickness per DeTomaso is 17.5 mm for the rear disc

Normally you need to disassemble the entire rear upright to get at the rotor.
Dave, are you feeling a vibration from the driver’s side rear and think you have a warped rotor? It’s more likely to be axle bearings. It’s pretty easy to diagnose. Just lift that corner off the ground, grab the tire at 12:00 and 6:00 and try to rock it back and forth. While you’re looking around in that area, how are your u-joints, upper ball joints and lower shafts? Considering the amount of work required to replace a rotor (or bearings, axle, etc.), do yourself a favour … it’s time to rebuild your rear uprights / stub axle assemblies. If the driver’s side needs attention, the passenger side is probably not far behind.
Thanks everyone, very helpful! I have since taken the entire upright out and am swapping out rotors. I deeply appreciate the unity and advise provided! DC
I would recommend changing the bearings while you have it apart.
Also note that the axle nuts are not reusable. I ordered bearings and nuts from Wilkinson.
