I looked at a couple local Panteras for sale with a prospective buyer over the weekend. On reflection that buyer has decided he'd rather have a car that someone else has put the money into. He has a number of cars already and has little time for a project.
First was a red '74, one owner from new and covered 8,500 miles. It has not been driven for 11 years and is in much better condition than expected from the description. No rust and very clean with a few minor dings in the drivers door. Otherwise all original except for aftermarket seats (owner has originals). Seller is hoping to get low to mid $30's. This is a great survivor car in my opinion and would suit someone who wants a bone stock car to keep that way.
Second was a bright yellow '72 Pre L in good condition except it has some really ugly aftermarket flares (fiberglass and possibly home grown) that do not suit it at all. We all agreed the flares would have to come off and be replaced with GTS flares at a minimum. Otherwise the car is in great condition, with a few minor issues (drivers window not functional). Seller is motivated and may drop just below $30K.
I can get some photo's to send to anyone who is seriously interested and in fact I'll try and post some here.
