... Took a nice drive today; went into the Bay Area from the central valley. She was running strong and the brakes were more sensitive because I just removed the front brake equalizer/pressure valve. (NOT the 'Shuttle' valve. I left that IN for now). Got back 3 miles from home and had a little puff of steam come out from under the central console. My first thought was that it was an Electrical fire! NO it was steam. Whoow!! I pulled over, stopped; and went back and quickly shut off the 'Heater Shut Off' valves (another good reason to have these). Didn't lose too much water, it never overheated. I arrived home and pulled it into the shop and took off the side panel; both hoses were in great shape for the rubber, they were replaced new when I bought the car. The drivers' side hose had 'chafed' against the corner of the accelerater cable 'MOUNT' and put a tiny hole through the side. The only harm, a partialy soaked carpet. I'll go purchase a new Hose tomorrow. This time I'll wrap it with a protective cover and relocate it...
