Do you have the original half shafts or the Spicer replacements? Chuck Melton's website has comparison photos at:
http://www.geocities.com/pantera_project/HalfShaftCompare1.html

Original U-joints are available from the Pantera Vendors.
Spicer U-joints should be available at your local parts house. SOBill Taylor's database has numbers for the Spicer parts. That is available at: http://www.members.aol.com/sobill/ I downloaded the "Pantera_Information.xls". That is an Excel file. I think the "Pantera_Information.zip" is a Word file.

Are the yokes worn? Mine were bored oversize so I had to replace the half shafts. At the time I did mine, PI Motorsports had the best deal on half shafts. Check your vendors for current prices. Or ask me how to contact Mike Romine at Atlanta Powertrain.
For many years, the stock u-joints sourced through Detomaso were scarce and very expensive. That is what started the trend to just redoing the whole assembly using Spicer parts. All the vendors now have the stock sized u-joints, and they are now at a reasonable price. I mean, these are low production, 30 year old cars. You didn't expect to get all your parts from Pep Boys when you bought your Pantera, did you? Do the right and easy thing. Support one of our vendors and let them make a few bucks per u-joint. I think they all grind off the identifying numbers, but they've done the research and should get a little $$ for the effort to locate, buy and stock them for us.

The Pantera vendors are the only place that I know to get the stock U-joints. The Spicer U-joints will not fit the stock half shaft.

I have always used the Excel file for Bill Taylor's database. Never tried the zip. It is currently 6613 lines of information so it may take a while to download.
