vented rotors plus spacer plate

Hello Peter,
I might need 2 discs. I need to know more Information about them, otherwise I won`t get TÜV in Germany. What car do they originally come from? What modifications have been made? Why do you need a spacer?

leider habe ich die Bremsscheiben , anhand der Daten und nicht der Marke ausgewählt. Die Scheiben sind nur für Rennsportzwecke gedacht.
Die Abstandsplatte ist desshalb, da die Höhe der Bremsscheibe zu klein war.
Die Bremsscheibe wurde in der Mitte ausgedreht und neue Löcher für die Radbolzen wurden gebohrt.
Das Ganze funktioniert sehr gut. Ob der Tüv das genehmigt kann ich nicht sagen, die Bremswerte sind jedoch top und ein Bekannter fährt damit bei uns in Österreich auch auf der Strasse damit und auch zur §57a Überprüfung und hat damit noch keine Probleme gehabt.
Super ist auch , dass die Bremsscheiben nun bei allen verbauten Fahrzeugen ohne die Distanzplättchen hinten ausgekommen sind und somit die Montage bei etwaigen Bremsbackentausch viel leichter von statten geht.

For your info these Rotors are for Opel Omega B 286x24mm and will be an exact fit without a Spacer. Same work needed though, enlarge Center Bore and new Holes 5x114,3mm needs to be drilled also. I have used them for 20000Km with Volvo 240 4 Pot Calipers but they will also work with OE Girling 4 Pot Calipers with a minor modification.

Hi Peter, do you remember what the reasons was why you could not make it work with the Girlings?

When I tried it two things had to be modified and there are several ways to do it. Basically the trouble is the thicknes of the Disc. Two ways to accomodate for that. Either seperate the Girling Caliper and put a spacer between the two half or if you are using new pads have about 2mm milled of the Pads. In the second case the Studs that align the Pads obviously has to be shortened as well.

The reason I choose the Volvo Calipers (and even they requires a small modification) was the vast selection of performance Pads where to my knowledge only standard Street Pads are available for the Girlings.
