Vivatoli mirros

There are a pair of Vivatoli (?) mirrirs for sale on ebay. Some questions 1)These look as though they must be mounted to the side of the door panel, rather than the top edge. Are they flexible enough to bend 90 degrees? 2) It looks as though one foot is larger than the other, or is this a photo illusion? 3) Is the piece sticking out from under part of the mounting hardware?
