Anybody with any leads, I have a friend/client that wants a GT5-Steel car. I've flown the country looking, I know whats out there, not much, lol. We have a deal pending on the gorgeous silver GT5-S in Orange County, but nothing firmed up until the end of the month as per seller. Don't worry about that, he will buy two no problem. The client has the coin, needs to find a ~nice~ example, complete and finished, no excuses car. Please don't start a discussion on values, I know some think their still a 75k car, others think its a 125k car, well their not. Try to find one. The reality of 2015-2016 will sink in sooner or later. Please take the values discussion to the PUB section, or we'll be off topic quickly. It will hijack the thread. He will pay over 200k make no mistake about it. If you have or know of a good one for sale. let's get it done.

No they don't allow that, Dana Mecum has a signed contract before he lists the car along with 1500 dollars to cross stage, saying if you pull out you'll pay the 18% [buyer & seller fees] of your reserve price or a price ~they~ determine. It's running Saturday out of prime, so it's not a good run time.

Sounds like it will at least provide one current reference point for a GT5S value. IMO Mecum is a good down to earth auction house, not like the B-J hype & BS.

What about the black GT5-S that is for sale here Wink

No, thank you 1985, the buyer is Hell bent on a 5-Steel. He's flown me from one end of America to the other in the past few weeks. Cars are misrepresented, as you'd expect on ebay, or way better than represented [Orange County silver 5-S in HMN is mint mint mint] and for sale at 225k, and after inspection it came time to cut the deal, the seller bulked, said to 'give him a call around the 30th or so. [???]. Not sure what's up w/that, but ok. Trouble is, the poor guy is paying inspection fees and air fares to buy a car that is [was] for sale!??? Jeez. Tomorrow on to Newark to see Adams car, the black 5-S at 190k. Any other leads out there in Pantera cyberville?

what about the black GT5-S Joules mentioned?
That ones not for sale. My recent travels so far have turned up four, the white I flew to Denver at 200k firm, Siver in Orange County at 225k firm, black in Newark I just saw yesterday at 190k firm, and next weekend Vagas for a maroon at 210k firm. I think the black is the magic one, certainly the nicest so far. My client made an offer yesterday, it's a go. I know everyone is convinced they are still 125k cars all day long, and my only comment back to them is, ~go find one~ that can be bought for that number. Better yet go find three!??? Any other leads out there, I have two buyers.

Julian

I happen to see this car on TV go for $220k.
Is this discussed somewhere/anywhere on this Forum?

Sharkey was there and all over it, I assume from his post he purchased for the Captain! As my wife says its nice to spend someone else's money!
